Folk Accessories

These accessories have been anciently used by the indigenous groups that inhabits the Argentinian Puna. The “Colla Hat” to protect their head but also the cheeks and ears and the little bags are known as “coquitas”and is where they carry the leaves they use to chew to avoid feeling dizzy in the high mountains.

All the accessories are made of 100% llama wool and the different colors have been achieved by dying the wool with different vegetables and flora. Some of the items are styled in New York maintaining a strong respect in their traditions and some are intact as they currently continue to use, everything is hand made by women who continue to inhabit and work in the Argentinian Puna.
